Displayed plans
StudiGarden is operated by STRATOCK (Pty) Ltd, registration number 2026/121556/07. The pricing page shows Free at R0, Grow at R35 per month and Bloom at R90 per month. Plan features and monthly allowances are listed there. Paid checkout charges the displayed plan amount in South African rand. StudiGarden does not add a separate checkout fee.
Starting a paid subscription
Registration does not choose a paid plan or collect payment. A paid subscription starts only when you select a plan, agree to monthly automatic renewal, and complete payment through Paystack. The selected plan renews monthly until cancelled. Access is activated only after payment is verified.
Cancel future renewals
You can stop future renewals from Profile by choosing Cancel plan and confirming. Ordinary cancellation is not a refund: your already-paid access continues until its end date. There is no StudiGarden cancellation penalty. Free and permanent beta access do not renew.
Subjects after paid access ends or a lower limit takes effect
Free keeps your earliest 2 subjects active and Grow keeps your earliest 7, in creation order. Bloom has no subject limit. Subjects beyond your current limit, including their learning material and assessments, are frozen: they remain stored but cannot be viewed, reviewed, edited or exported. They become available again when your plan includes them. A plan ending or a lower limit taking effect does not delete your data. Cancellation stops future renewals; it does not remove time you have already paid for.
Changing plans
Available plan-change controls appear in Profile and on the pricing cards. Review and confirm the displayed price and billing date before continuing. Stopping renewals remains available.
A Grow-to-Bloom upgrade charges the full R90 Bloom price immediately through Paystack. Verified payment starts a fresh monthly Bloom period and R90 monthly renewals until cancelled. We stop the previous Grow subscription and arrange a full refund, once, of the Grow payment funding the billing period in which the upgrade payment succeeds. This is not a partial-day credit or a discount at checkout. If that Grow period has ended before the upgrade payment succeeds, it is not refunded as a current-period payment. An unpaid upgrade checkout does not remove existing Grow access.
A downgrade to Grow costs nothing now. Existing higher-plan access lasts until the confirmed paid-through date, then the first R35 Grow payment is scheduled using the reusable card already funding that subscription. Subsequent Grow renewals are R35 per month until cancelled. Grow access requires verified payment. A switch to Free stops future paid renewals and applies Free limits after paid access ends, with no new debit.
Resuming a stopped same-plan renewal before its funded period ends costs nothing now and does not add paid time. We must verify the same subscription's monthly price and next debit date before confirming resumption. If that period has expired, a restart instead charges the full selected plan price through a new Paystack checkout, after the previous subscription is confirmed stopped. Verified payment starts a fresh monthly period; an expired period receives no unused-time credit. Historical or refunded payments cannot fund a new period, and restarting does not reset the once-per-account first-payment guarantee.
You can cancel a pending resumption or unpaid restart from Profile. Cancellation must still be confirmed. We keep the discarded restart record; a payment later verified through that old checkout enters separate refund recovery rather than overwriting your chosen access.
Profile distinguishes a saved request from a confirmed billing change. Before a scheduled downgrade takes effect, you can request cancellation of both the scheduled and previous future renewals, or explicitly choose to keep the previous plan renewing when that option is available. Resuming billing requires agreement to the displayed amount and date. Provider confirmation is required; a pending request is not a completed cancellation. Already-paid time is preserved.
If a replaced or cancelled subscription produces an unexpected later charge, we verify its ownership, return the matching payment through a separate recovery refund and stop only that subscription. We do not cancel the customer's chosen current plan to recover an old charge. Ambiguous matches or provider failures may need support attention. Upgrade credits and recovery refunds do not use the first-payment guarantee.
Automatic 7-day first-payment refund
We offer a voluntary full-refund guarantee on your first paid purchase, once per account. Request it from Profile within seven days of the time payment was made. No reason is required, and using the study tools does not disqualify you. This automatic guarantee does not apply to monthly renewal payments.
Choose Request first-payment refund and confirm. StudiGarden checks your payment and the server-recorded request time automatically. A qualifying request needs no discretionary approval, but completion still depends on Paystack and the banking system. Requests submitted on time remain eligible if processing is delayed. Duplicate clicks do not create additional refunds.
We stop future renewals before submitting the full refund to Paystack. Once Paystack confirms the refund is completed, the refunded paid access ends and Free limits apply unless you have another entitlement. Your saved study material is not deleted. Cancelling a plan and requesting a refund are separate actions.
Refund progress and exceptional problems
If you replace an unfinished checkout, do not pay through its old link. If a payment is later verified on that discarded checkout, we arrange a separate full refund and stop only its matching subscription's future renewals. This does not change your chosen plan or use your first-payment guarantee. If the payment or subscription cannot be matched safely, the case needs support attention rather than a guessed cancellation.
Profile shows whether a request is being checked, approved, processed, completed, or needs attention. Submission is not the same as money appearing in your bank account. Paystack and the payment processor control completion and banking times. A failed refund, missing bank details, or an uncertain provider response may need support intervention; we will not describe an unconfirmed refund as completed.
Other refunds and your legal rights
The automatic guarantee is additional to, and does not limit, applicable South African consumer rights. A request outside the guarantee is not automatically a rejection of any legal right to a refund. Contact support about billing mistakes, service problems, renewal charges, or other refund grounds. Applicable statutory rights take precedence over this voluntary policy.
For support and exceptional refund requests, email zd.britz@icloud.com from your account email address. Include the payment reference if available; never send your password or full card details.
